Considering the process of assembling a new system, I’m weighing an Intel Core 12th Gen i5-K versus the newer Core 13th Gen i5-K. Should I postpone the build or proceed with the latest model? My current setup includes a few years of functionality from the Asus Z390-P and Z370-P machines. The hardware should still serve me for some time, but upgrading might be worth it if performance demands grow.

Your 9700K might be facing issues with the 3070. Monitor CPU-GPU activity during games; if the GPU stays under 95-100% most of the time, the CPU is limiting performance. The 8600K setup should work well with the 1060.
