I recently played for a few months. There are still many players in multiplayer, just like in Mw2 where you mostly focus on TDM and don’t see many others around.

I prefer Mw2 more, though Black Ops 2 is the better value. It hasn't gained much popularity yet, but a few enthusiasts still enjoy it.

I think I’ll likely get BO2 then. Seems like a better option. Playing it on PC will be strange since I used to play it a lot on the 360 back then.

I received BO3 and wanted to return to COD after playing MW2 on PS3. I currently have 100 hours on it, and I got it on the 23rd, but it doesn’t feel the same on PC. The player base is also much smaller there. COD is one of the few FPS games that are better enjoyed on a console than on PC—it’s just more of a console experience.

IWNet/FourDeltaOne for MW2 works well. I believe they no longer exist. There seem to be some remakes, but they aren't as strong. Most players on MW2 are Brazilian.

Choose Black Ops 2, particularly the bundle that includes the season pass. MW2 feels off and packed with cheaters.

Modern warfare 2 offers improved gameplay overall. However, I believe the decision should favor black ops 2, as it reduces hackers and increases server density.
