I've never played Bioshock 2, yet I deeply cherished Bioshock 1—it was clearly my top pick from that remarkable year in 2007. I believed Bioshock Infinite surpassed Bioshock 1 in both story and depth. I wasn't sure they could match the narrative brilliance of the original, but they certainly did in Infinite. The early 1900s American art style in Infinite was just as flawless as the 1950s art deco look in Bioshock 1. Infinite stands out as one of the rare exceptional achievements in gaming. It's definitely my favorite shooter to date.
It’s strange how I’m replaying it again. Infinite stands out as one of those exceptional games that completely stunned me once its narrative unfolded. Fallout 2 is the sole title where I felt its story matched Infinite’s quality.
Bioshock could have reached the same level as COD in terms of fame, though in a positive way—everyone embraced it. The absence of multiplayer likely contributed to that. Still, more effort went into Bioshock than any other COD or BF imitation. Even DOOM seems unremarkable compared to Bioshock Infinite. What stands out is the experience of flying through the sky in those titles. The art direction probably helped it endure over time. Wow, you definitely should try it. Part 2 focused mainly on the little sisters.
