Titanfall 2 feels similar to Battlefield 1 rather than a major shift. I’d pick BF1 instead. On the other hand, having both would be ideal if possible.

Titanfall 2 offers free DLC updates. It looks like a better value. DICE has turned everything into a paid service, including servers you can now only purchase from DICE rather than a third-party provider.
