I’m focusing on getting the best performance without pushing the budget too thin. Since I won’t be overclocking, I want to pick a motherboard that delivers solid power and features within a reasonable price range. I recall that older Z490 boards from ASRock didn’t perform well, but newer Z590 models have improved power delivery. I’m uncertain about how ASRock compares to Gigabyte in terms of component quality, microcode stability, and overall reliability. At my local Microcenter, I’ve seen processor and motherboard bundles under $200. Here are some options:

- **ASRock Z590M Pro4** – My first pick; compact ATX design, no extra components needed. Features a 12-phase DrMos power system and no WiFi (price $150).
- **Gigabyte UD / AC - ATX** – Offers a 12-phase DrMos design with basic WiFi in the AC version for about $190.

For WiFi, I could add a separate WiFi 6 module (PCI-E card or M2 adapter) around $25, which seems more practical than the built-in Intel Wi-Fi AC 9462 on the Gigabyte board. If I need it, I might consider a separate USB hub for my desk. Both ATX models have faster LAN speeds, but the Gigabyte board’s LAN is still adequate for my needs. The Z590 Pro4 from ASRock seems more streamlined and reliable right now.

I placed an order for an ASRock Steel Legend Wifi at $200. After reviewing Japanese and Chinese sources, I noticed clear photos of both the Steel Legend and Pro 4 models. The Z590 versions offer superior power delivery compared to the Z490 versions. https://www.gdm.or.jp/review/2021/0212/379760 https://www.bilibili.com/read/cv9233053
