I own two groups of RAM for my PC. The first has 32GB at 2666MHz, the second 16GB at 3000MHz. The gap between those speeds is noticeable. I’m running a Ryzen 7 5800X and do heavy gaming plus dev work and VM tasks. If the 3000MHz RAM adds enough benefit, it might be worth it; otherwise, the 32GB would be a nice upgrade. Let me know what you think.

Avoid using a slower RAM speed in a Ryzen setup since it doesn’t match their preference for quick memory, which could slow down games. Instead, fine-tune the 2666 configuration to achieve the desired performance.

No specific duration is universally fixed; it depends on the individual's system and the test goals.

One of the four sticks in the 32GB package causes the system to crash during startup. The other three slower sticks appear to function normally at the same performance levels as the faster set. I ran a quick memtest and plan to do a full test overnight tonight. If it succeeds, I’ll use the last stick from my original kit to reach the 32GB capacity.
