Consider the available options: 4x8GB sticks or 2x16GB sticks. Since your motherboard doesn’t support quad channel, the choice depends on compatibility and performance needs.

2x16 would work better if your motherboard or CPU supports just two RAM channels. If you have two channels, choose the number of RAM sticks that fits. Also, let me know what motherboard and CPU you're using.

It will function similarly to or even better than the 4x8 setup. In theory, if the sticks are single rank, using 4 provides dual rank benefits, potentially boosting performance by around 5%. With dual rank sticks, the outcome remains unchanged. The main concern is that 4 sticks may not support the advertised XMP speeds on certain motherboards and CPUs.

It seems you're referring to a Ryzen Zen 2 chipset with two sticks. Would you like more details about its specifications or compatibility?

When the 16GB sticks are single ranked, 4x8 will work better. If they're dual ranked, results will be similar. My feedback is limited to Zen 3.
