Or two dual-rank pairs, that covers four ranks. Just grab the 4x8 package; it’s most likely to match what you need. Modern kits usually have single-rank sticks, so four single-rank sticks cover four ranks. It’s tough to tell exactly which kits have dual or single, especially with different timing specs. A simple trick: compare memory kits by dividing MTs by CL rating—higher is better. For example, 3200 CL16 vs 3600 CL16 gives 200 vs 225, which is faster. Similarly, 3600 CL14 vs 4400 CL18 gives 257.1 vs 244.4. I’d recommend choosing the kit with matching MTs and quicker timings. It’s unlikely you’ll notice the difference.
