I'm evaluating options for fitting my Ryzen 5 7600x into a custom water-cooled setup. I'm considering the Gigabyte B650 AERO G, but it only supports PCIe 4.0 and lacks the 4080 pricing cut by Nvidia. Moving to a B650E or X670E might be better since none of the available boards offer PCIe 5.0. For a cleaner look, I'm opting for white internal components inside a black Hyte Y60 case. I've already purchased the CPU at a discount and have a link to explore further.

the asrock b650e phantom gaming riptide wifi stands out as the most affordable option (around 260€ locally). its features include a 14+2+1 vrm configuration with solid cooling, capable of supporting a 7950x. it offers pcie 5.0 x16 and pcie 5.0 m.2 slots. connectivity is robust with wifi and bt, plus numerous usb ports. the design looks good, though its color might not suit every build. overall, it packs nearly all a motherboard should provide, except for some faster usb options.

You're right about the absence of aesthetics for my build. It's nice to hear someone else agreeing that going with the x670E isn't necessary.

I don't really see the point of getting the X670E. B650E boards are priced similarly to standard X670 boards but offer extra perks, such as PCIe 5.0 graphics. Also, the AsRock Steel Legend board in steel is mostly white and looks quite similar to this blue PG ripley version in terms of features, though it's a bit pricier. I didn't mention it earlier—it should fit nicely into your setup. You can check the details here: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B650E Steel Legend WiFi/index.asp

It's interesting. I've been switching between that and the Aero G for a few days now.

There’s no need to hesitate right now. Unless I choose to hold off for potentially better offers during the holidays.

I was using my phone, and it looked like the PCPartPicker was set in the US. The prices came out to $370 CAD for the Gigabyte B650 AERO G and $383 for the ASRock B650E STEEL LEGEND WIFI. I realized those were really low.
