I have a personal VPN with IPSec Xauth PSK that connects to my home network. It also lets me access the printer locally. It functions properly at home, but it doesn’t work at school when using the Windows software. (add Workspace, VPN...). Can you find a solution for school use? The server doesn’t block HTTP.

Use the OpenVPN client instead of the built-in Windows version. Your school might be restricting VPN access. A dedicated client resolved the issue on OS X.
