Choose a multi-gigabit router for optimal performance.
It features a 1/2.5/5Gbps port along with four 1Gbps ports. In my limited trials, it managed to connect to a 10Gbps device. However, I haven’t conducted extensive testing; I stopped experimenting and instead used a mGig switch to reach my 10G firewall quickly. When I connected directly to a 10G SFP port, the connection seemed possible. Other factors beyond this are unclear, as I won’t go into detail here.
