You're looking at pairing the i7-6700K with a GPU that won't slow things down. Since you'll mainly play Valorant and possibly CS2, focus on a card that matches your CPU's capabilities without causing bottlenecks.

Choose the top GPU you can afford and ignore bottlenecks. Buying a low-end GPU just to match a weak CPU will keep you stuck in a loop of needing cheaper upgrades soon.

6700 XT seems to be the top choice I’d opt for. It lets you run a few story games on Ultra, offers solid stability with 60-90% lows around 160 FPS, and typically hits 200-300 FPS in Valorant.

higher performance GPUs won’t significantly boost those minimal speeds, yet upgrading the CPU will make a huge difference

GTX 1080Ti or RX 5700 XT are perfectly suitable for your setup. I have a GTX 1080 with an i7 4790, and it performs well at 1080p.
