I was thinking about getting a PC with a 2070 super, and when the 3000s models arrive I’ll stick to that plan unless I learn otherwise. I saw a bitwit video suggesting pairing it with an 80 dollar CPU—probably around 50, though I can’t recall the exact model, it was AMD. I was pretty confident in my choice but then another YouTuber mentioned using an AMD Ryzen 2700X. It’s unclear if the CPU was a bottleneck, so I’m not sure what to choose now.
3600 would be a good choice imo. i would honestly wait for ampere to come out though, and maybe read up on the info instead of going off of youtubers.
Just playing? The 3600. While you're waiting, you might choose to wait a bit longer for the new Amd CPUs. The CPU talk was likely about the 3300x or the 1600AF—both are as hard to come by as a four-leaf clover.
At the same cost, the 3070 offers superior performance compared to the 2080 Ti, which is a $1200 model. Choosing a 2070 Super would be a poor decision.
