Checking the performance limits of this Ryzen 5 2600 with Wraith Stealth case. What’s the maximum it can handle?
Recently I've noticed my gaming performance dropping significantly even in titles that shouldn't struggle. I'm not talking about typical low frames, but a sudden fall from 230 fps to around 70 and back, plus issues with Osu! Cs: and others. I've checked things like driver updates and dust buildup, but nothing seems to be the problem. I'm concerned because my machine is only six months old. I considered boosting my CPU speed, but after looking into it, I didn't find any guidance for a Ryzen 5 2600 with stock cooler and safe overclocking. If anyone knows the right speeds and voltages to use, I'd really appreciate it!
Begin with a modest voltage around 1.1V, observe how far you can overclock while staying stable, then gradually increase the voltage and push further until you notice overheating.
It’s hard for me to believe in myself right now. What would help you feel more confident?
It's difficult to cause lasting harm to your CPU by pushing it beyond its normal limits. Values below 1.4V shouldn't lead to any lasting issues.
