The default setting can be adjusted using the Windows map application. Setting it to your home manually should function properly. It’s helpful if services like food delivery use accurate locations now. Previously, it kept displaying incorrect addresses. Yes, I also rely on this location on my PC occasionally, not just on my phone.

I don't grasp your question here. Most PCs lack GPS chips and laptops generally do too. Location info is usually determined by the nearest ISP node or nearby Wi-Fi networks that track your position. Since your Windows desktop typically doesn't have a way to find location, that feature isn really useless. On laptops it might appear in "Find my device" options, but because they depend heavily on Wi-Fi for positioning, it's not very accurate. If you set a default location and then use a map service to center on it, it should work. But if that's the only method they use, their design is quite poor. For deliveries, for example, if you live in an area with many apartments within about 30 meters, giving just one map location won't be very precise.
