She has limited memory options available. The computer she shared only has 4 gigabytes of RAM across two slots, and the specs show a 2 gigabyte stick. It seems the available options are mostly 2 gigabytes, not higher capacities like 4 gigabits. The product page you linked lists DDR3 PC3 10600U, which is a different model and likely uses a different interface. It probably won’t fit the same setup unless you upgrade to a higher-speed stick or consider a different motherboard.

1Rx8 marks positions on the stick along with the chip type, here one rank and 8-bit format. Typically the system can handle various RAM types, but performance might drop with many ranks.

Certainly, replacing those two 2G cards with DDR3 sticks at the same speed works fine. Just make sure the new sticks match each other in terms of compatibility and configuration.

Consider checking the manufacturer's support site for the old PC's motherboard. They usually provide tested RAM configurations and guidance on compatibility. This will help you locate the best available RAM within your budget.

It would be too much power for her device. She mainly uses it to watch YouTube and read the news. Occasionally she might look up a recipe.

She shared a screenshot showing "Dell Product: 0GDG8Y Version: A00." Based on the search results, it seems compatible with DDR3 1333MHz. That sounds correct. Thanks!
