I currently own an i7 4790k and an Asus Maximus VII. My setup seems to be set up as usual, though I haven’t updated it much lately, so I’m not sure. Edit, it’s still in my profile. I’m considering a upgrade to get back into gaming and multitasking, but I also enjoy running several apps at once. I use basic payroll tools, MS Office with Dragon Notes, Android emulators, and stream services like YouTube and Netflix. I also do some video editing with Sony Vegas. I want the flexibility to play games at full or near maximum settings. My budget isn’t a major issue. I’m thinking about switching to a Ryzen 9 3900, but I’m unsure which graphics card to choose. I also looked at the i9 9900k but thought I’d ask for advice here.
Thank you for your feedback. It seems I’m struggling to stay calm while the newer chips arrive. My system feels really slow and irritating. I’m considering a fresh install or upgrade, but I don’t want to reinstall everything twice. I saw that a Ryzen 4000 might be available soon—maybe I’ll just have to wait and see. A lot of reviews mention issues with the 570 series, especially overheating and noisy fans, which has made me a bit worried. Is this concern exaggerated?
