It would be a bit improved, but you need to visit a store for a cooler.
Purchasing a 4060 Ti, unless you're opting for the 16GB version with VRAM, isn't an ideal choice because PCIe 3.0 reduces it to 3060 Ti or worse performance. I believe the best approach right now is to wait and observe what comes from the three manufacturers in terms of upcoming models.
The 5700X is the top-tier CPU I would even consider for your board, and it should perform adequately. A good air cooler would suffice—either Deepcool or Thermalright, depending on availability (expect prices around $20-30 for a single tower and $30-50 for a dual).
The main issue was trying to use the old sn570 in the second M.2 slot while placing the new 2TB SSD in the primary M.2 slot.
Storage remains the primary constraint for productivity and video editing work.
Thank you all very much for your time and valuable input!
Although throwing in a R5-5600X for just 140 euros and get done with it is very (very) tempting, I've decided to go for the R7-5700X. GPU and RAM can wait.
What's left for now is to pick the cooling solution, because
my tower
specs give
CPU Clearance 155mm
, and I have no idea if that means cpu+cooler height or just cooler height.
@Lucky_SLS
's
suggestion
seems to be 157mm high, so I guess it won't fit either way.
What height should I look for?
Also I think I should add at least 1 more case fan regardless, in the front so combined to the one already located in the back (came with the case) I improve the airflow, right?
Uh huh, I misread it. Yes it makes sense thanks!
Waiting for a video card is exactly what I'm gonna do, thank you! Thanks for the cooler suggestions too, do you happen to have a cooler suggestion for a CPU Clearance of 155mm in the tower (what ever that means)? LOL
It seems the available options are limited to these specific products.
I haven't tried the phantom spirit yet, but I have a top-notch assassin. It's a real upgrade. I've heard the other option could be better, which is tough to think about, but either way, the 5700x is a 65-watt CPU, so those might just be too much anyway. Still, for the price, it's hard to beat.
If you want to play give a test drive to the wraith cooler no height worries with that.
Looks like about 8 bucks over at walmart.
