Hello, I've been using my PC (R7 2700X, GTX 1060, ASUS Strix B450-F, BIOS 3003 with six case fans) for a couple of months. I observed the stock Wraith Prism CPU fan increasing and decreasing, and temperatures jumped from about 35 to 65°C when idle or running games (up to 72°C at full speed). I attempted to reduce noise by applying a custom fan curve (32C, 20%, 64C, 50%, 72C at 100%). The cooling unit still sounds loud. My voltage stays above 0.9V and usually stays between 1.4 and 1.45V—what's considered normal for Ryzen. Would adjusting the voltage offset or limiting TDP help? (You can set PPT via AI Tweaker or use CTDP in NBio’s advanced settings.) Also, could a BIOS update improve performance? Thanks!
This setup resembles a thermal paste bridge instead of direct contact with the heatsink. The cooler's thermal mass is meant to avoid sudden temperature shifts like this. Prior to connecting my system, I ran the R5 3600 at 3.7ghz with static voltage. It maintained temperatures below 70°C. Another option would be adjusting the PPT limit in PBO, but it actually performed worse than using static voltage. Negative voltage offsets can stretch the clock, leading to reduced performance. The lowest setting I could configure in BIOS was 0.9v, possibly a tighter limit.

You may also want to adjust manual EDC and TDC limits. Your Ryzen model shows PPT at 141W, TDC at 95A, and EDC at 140A with consistent 99% readings.
