This upgrade could definitely boost your performance, potentially increasing FPS by several points depending on the games and workload. Your current setup is solid, but adding a dedicated graphics card would free up CPU resources and allow smoother multitasking.

No it won't, it was ment more so for windows 7. Since your on 8.1 it won't do anything to help you.

At that time, there was no noticeable difference in performance.

Core unparking offers no benefit since cores activate automatically when required.

It receives many likes because people found it valuable even if it didn’t benefit them directly.

It might have been a problem with Windows at that time (which is now fixed) or possibly everyone was influenced by the placebo effect. Or maybe both are true. You can't tell for sure.

False. Core unparking can assist an I7 significantly in Windows 7. In Windows 8? It provides no benefit. It won’t help an I5 or an I3. Generally, Microsoft altered core parking in 7, and with an I7 running Windows 7? Unparking cores. During a fresh installation on my 4770k, three threads were parked in games such as Planetside 2, BF4, and this occurred naturally without any adjustments to power settings. Moreover, they operated at lower thread counts, which might lead to stuttering or lag. It could also aid an FX chip. It’s quite obvious. Play the game. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del. Check core usage in Task Manager and if you notice cores/threads sleeping? Your computer is stuck in that game while Windows handles it.
