Hello. I checked the details of your Helios 300 54K with 4GB RAM. Adding another 16GB would work well, especially if you stick to a single channel setup. Running it at 20GB should be fine as long as you keep the same configuration. You don’t need to remove the pre-installed RAM unless you want extra flexibility later. You receive dual channel speeds initially for the first 8GB, after which performance drops to a single channel. This setup seems functional.
