I possess two RAM sticks, each PNY XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X RGB with 8GB, DDR4 3200MHz. Their timing settings are 16-18-18-38 for DIMM 2 and 4. I need to purchase another set, but one is currently unavailable. Should I consider Thermaltake TOUGHRAM Z ONE 8GB 3200 MHz DDR4 CL18 (timing 18-19-19-39) or TOUGHRAM Z ONE 8GB 3200 MHz DDR4 CL16 (timing 16-18-18-36)? Which combination will work best? If possible, could I troubleshoot and find a solution so all can run together with XMP? My system includes a Ryzen 5 2600 processor and an MSI Mortar Max motherboard.
If the board has some intelligence, it should handle the task better. Running them separately on their own XMP profiles won’t be effective.
When two RAM modules are already present in DIMM 2 and DIMM 4, I attempt to add more RAM on DIMM 1, resulting in a total of three RAM slots instead of the expected configuration.
