Hello everyone, I have a curious issue regarding some RAM. I own an older X58-based setup with three 4GB Gskill F3-12800CL9-4GB modules in triple channel configuration. I've noticed that 12GB isn't sufficient anymore, and I stumbled upon a kit offering two 4GB modules per stick (2x4GBx2 F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL). I plan to use just three or four sticks, but I wanted to confirm if others have tried similar setups. My system previously had two different RAM configurations with varying timings and speeds, but they all functioned adequately. I'm confident these will work too.

X58 handles memory well as long as the speed stays at 1600 MT/s or below.

It's also 1600MHz RAM, but I've never used dual channel setups before and have only worked with triple channel configurations. Probably just a matter of how the RAM is packaged.
