It might seem odd at first, but I checked benchmark results from YouTube showing my setup—a Ryzen 1300x with a GTX 1060 card. The game runs smoothly at over 60 FPS on high settings, often hitting 90. However, my own performance is much lower, around 60 and then dropping to about 47. I tried increasing the CPU frequency to see if it would help, but it didn’t. Could be several factors affecting this difference? Thanks for your help!

If VSync or frame rate is enabled, that would handle it

Thanks a lot! I'm really new to all this PC stuff, just set up my first machine. Turning off VSync made it go way too fast—over 130 frames per second.

Ensuring VSync is the initial step when FPS remains constant. Typically, steady FPS isn’t achieved often, particularly around the familiar 60 frames per second.

Actually, I was confusing it with the monitor refresh rate, but it shouldn’t impact game FPS. I’m still figuring this out.

The clock speeds might vary across the card.
