Hello Community, I'm updating my Asus Crosshair VII Hero from BIOS 2901 (released 2019/11/04) to version 4603. The installation failed with the message "The selected file is not a proper BIOS!" It seems the formatting of the flash drive might have caused the issue. I've experimented with different naming conventions, but nothing worked. Could it be that BIOS versions are too far apart? I managed to read version 3103 after the current one and got an installation option. My question is: Should I install the updates gradually? Am I doing something incorrect? Would trying the update help? My system has a 2700x chip if you need more details, I can share them.
