I'm planning to assemble my second PC in a few days. With the blue screen of death appearing during the Windows update "kb5029351", should I hold off or proceed? My motherboard is an MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI, and I'm unsure if we should wait or update the BIOS. Using an older Windows installation tool might prevent downloading that update, and then I'll install the new OS after the PC is ready. Just be careful not to download the update file itself.

That's software, it will be fixed. It shouldn't stop you from assembling the hardware Also, that's a W11 bug, you can just install W10 instead

KB5029351 is a preview release, meaning the newest Windows Creation Tool ISO isn't included since it hasn't reached General Availability. Since Windows Creation Tools automatically fetches the most recent ISO, installing an older version won't help and will do nothing. Avoid installing it. Preview upgrades won't install on their own—remove the update afterward if needed.
