Windows 8.1 Pro offers top performance and compatibility for gaming, with the most robust upgrade options. I’ve been using Windows 8 on my laptop since its beta stage and upgraded my desktop during its official launch. I don’t suggest Windows 10—it’s still in the tech preview phase—and you won’t have any upgrade path. You’d be stuck reinstalling everything again, which isn’t worth it unless you really like that process.
I've attempted to run 8.1, but the program tiles and often doesn't respond. After updating to 8.1, it gets stuck at 85% progress before the welcome screen appears. I've also tried restarting it, but it fails to update properly.
I came across your review and was quite puzzled until I revisited your feedback. I’m hoping for better updates on Windows 10, even though I’m not too bothered by Windows 7 compared to my old system—this one really handles everything smoothly, haha!
