I've been really upset lately trying to get Windows 8.1 onto my USB drive since I lost my disk and product key. Once I connected the USB and moved it to my main storage, everything worked fine until I reached the setup screen. Now I see "Windows 8" but can't find a product key for Windows 8—it's making me very frustrated.

Why is this happening? The same product key works for W10 too, and 3333 is halfway there.

there are factors at play. achieving better performance with lower resource usage is one of them. especially for devices such as smartphones and tablets that run on limited power sources, this can make a significant impact... in past versions like Windows 10 the CPU would operate at around 50% capacity even when the system was idle, whereas it was only half that on Windows 7 and even less on Windows 8.

You may upgrade to Windows 10 at no cost if your license originally came with a free upgrade offer. There are two methods to use: first, switch from Windows 8 by downloading and installing the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool, then choosing your PC for installation; second, prepare a USB drive with Windows 10 and boot from it on the target machine. When prompted for a product key, select "I don't have one" to enter trial mode. After activation in Windows 10, update drivers and navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Activation to link your Windows 8 key. If you create a Microsoft account instead of a local one, the key and system details will be saved on Microsoft’s servers, eliminating the need to re-enter it later. Windows 10 will automatically activate as long as you remain logged in with the same account.
