You have a Windows 7 PC used mainly for streaming music and movies via iTunes and running Calibre for a book server. Security updates are no longer available for this version. Considering the lack of external connectivity beyond your home network, should you still pursue upgrading to Windows 10?

Only this action, I believe it's sufficient

It seems unnecessary to do more than that.

It should be safe to isolate it. Keeping the media server disconnected from the internet is a good practice.

If that's everything you're doing, you could try XP if you wish.

I’m not too worried about it. Upgrading seems worthwhile. It might not hurt if you skip it. Windows 10 could affect some programs, but that’s unlikely. You seem okay.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s great to know it’s working well and reinforcing that clear message.
