It rained heavily last night, leaving us without power. The windows seem poorly sealed due to high humidity. The next day, when trying to turn on my PC, it didn’t start and the case was grounded. I checked other outlets but it still wouldn’t power up. Following online guides, I jumped the power supply and the fan spun, but when I tried to connect the motherboard, it didn’t work. It looks like something might be wrong with the board itself. I’m concerned about the CPU and GPU too—could moisture have damaged them?
The air's humidity wouldn't harm the motherboard. Water damage from rain or other liquids would be the issue.
It rained heavily last night, so I didn’t expose the motherboard to moisture. I’m concerned about the CPU and its connections, even though the power supply seems normal.
