You have the Fatal1ty X370 Gaming X board with the X370 chipset and AGESA 1.2.0.7, but your motherboard doesn’t support Zen 3 CPUs. Upgrading from a Ryzen 5 1600 to 5600 would require checking compatibility—Zen 3 isn’t available on this model. You should verify if the BIOS update can enable Zen 3 support or consider a different upgrade path.

They mention "vermeer" in the BIOS update 7.30, but it seems the QLV list wasn't refreshed. Probably they didn’t adjust the upgrade path. The quickest way to confirm is reaching out to Asrock support. If you install the BIOS, there are likely prerequisites—check the order of required updates before proceeding.

It could function without official backing, but I’d be cautious about stability. If you decide to proceed with the 5600, make sure you choose a place with a solid returns policy in case it doesn’t work. You might contact ASrock support to get their perspective—if they confirm unofficial support, it might be worth trying.
