I assume this isn't used for gaming? If it is then this is a very unbalanced system. Here's a video where they tested this board with an 11900K. Not exactly the same CPU, but the motherboard performance should be similar for a 10900K. It crashed with unlocked PL, with locked it's fine. If possible I'd return the motherboard and also the CPU and go for a decent B660 with a 12700F.
I’d pick the 12th generation instead of the 11th. A 12th gen i5 would outperform an 11th gen i7, for instance. If you’re based in the US, this setup should be fine. You could also opt for the i7-12700F or save some cash with the i5-12400F—it still handles gaming well. Be sure to upgrade to W11 if you go with the 12700F or 12600KF, since the P and E cores struggle with 10th gen. The B660M Bazooka is an excellent motherboard choice. Just steer clear of ASRock’s recent models (500 and 600) as their VRM quality is poor. PCPartPicker’s list includes: CPU – Intel Core i5-12600KF 3.7 GHz, 10-core ($259.99 @ Newegg); Motherboard – MSI MAG B660M BAZOOKA DDR4 Micro ATX LGA1700 ($129.99 @ Newegg). Total comes to $389.98, with shipping, taxes, and discounts applied. Created by PCPartPicker on 2022-07-02 13:22 EDT-0400
