You just received your XL2430T and wanted to dive back into Skyrim modding... not ideal. I tried running it at 144hz, but the horses suddenly fly off, the wagon triggers seizures in players, and it’s completely unplayable. The FPS is terrible. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Can it run smoothly at 144hz? Or is there a way to play it on your 60hz monitor without changing the Windows resolution? I don’t want to switch to 60hz every time I play Skyrim on my BenQ.

Skyrim doesn't perform well above 60 FPS. Exceeding that causes major issues and crashes the game. Your question is a bit unclear, but you might adjust the FPS limit in the NVIDIA control panel to cap it at 60 or 59.

Sure, let's simplify that.
The physics engine is linked to the frames per second. If you go past 60, you'll break the rules of physics.

It was completely unexpected how badly it failed.

It seems the game is struggling with performance issues. I wonder if adjusting the resolution or frame rate would help. If the monitor is set to 144Hz but the game runs at 60FPS, that might resolve the problem. Also, it looks like there’s no option to limit FPS in the NVIDIA control panel.

My display runs at 144Hz, and it works as long as the frame rate stays at 60 or below. Just adjust it to Valhalla.

Secure the connection using an MSI afterburner or D3D driver
