PC experienced strange behavior recently. It started acting oddly after turning it on to play games with friends. When about to join a game, my screen would flicker and display the image at https://imgur.com/a/ZVfVmGI (Photo 1). After restarting, I played for hours without issues until closing the game, which caused the whole computer to flicker and go black. All programs shut down, including voice chat music. I restarted again but now the screen flickers every hour or so, showing green pixel strips or similar patterns. The crashes seem to occur mainly when games are running, though they also happen when turning off devices. Occasionally, while browsing or using voice chat, I tried fixes like updating graphics drivers via Display Driver Uninstaller. In Event Viewer, errors labeled "nvlddmkm" appear frequently—indicating a high error rate, over 1000 times in the past week. There have been crashes with applications such as Epic Games Launcher and the Start menu, though it’s unclear if these are related. I’m considering wiping the machine and starting fresh with new drivers, but I worry that might be necessary if something is seriously wrong. Thanks for your help. *Attached photos illustrate the problems*
Seems like your VRAM is running low. Could you share your system details?
These images from in-game and the purple spots usually point to low VRAM usage.
