I moved my SteamApps folder from the main HDD to a new WD Black 2TB drive, keeping the OS and everything else on the primary drive. I set up a new "SteamLibrary" folder inside the new drive and placed the SteamApps folder there as the default. The installation window shows nothing is installed and claims no space is used, even though there are hundreds of games. I’m unsure how to ensure the games actually load from this location. Can you help me get them running on the new drive? Your support would be really appreciated!

You can utilize steamtools at http://www.ghacks.net/2011/11/18/steam-t...eam-games/ or the steam mover at http://www.ghacks.net/2010/09/03/steam-m...er-drives/ to relocate games to another drive. It might be possible to play the game and verify its current executable path via Task Manager, especially after you've already moved it.

Avoid third-party tools by deleting the copies on your main hard drive and then reinstalling the games using existing directories. Steam will check the file integrity without needing any downloads.

Great! I appreciate it. I’ll wait until my new computer is fully configured with Steam before trying it out.

When I mentioned removing the game copy from your main HDD, I was referring to the method from Steam: right-click the game name, select Remove Local Files, then proceed with installation in the designated directory on your second HDD. Everything should be straightforward.

Sure thing! You can try it out on a few games now. The option you're referring to is "Delete Local Content," which appears when you right-click a game in your library.
