Sure, as long as it doesn<|pad|>, a HW upgrade would create a mismatch with the snapshot they captured. From what I know, MS hasn't indicated that reactivation for mismatched systems would be offered. Only time will tell.

Changing key parts like the motherboard will cancel your license, which has always happened with MS. Unless they explicitly say otherwise, there’s no need to think they won’t keep offering phone reactivations. They’ve also made it clear you can reinstall Windows on the same hardware repeatedly, provided you upgrade within the first year.

On the ball, good fellow! If OP scored a 10 on a disk and had the physical license key, he could reinstall the hardware. Presuming MS maintains its current approach.
