Your Netgear WNDR3400v2 appears to be limiting performance on both Wi-Fi and Ethernet. The router seems to cap speeds at 20-40 Mbps over Wi-Fi, even though you're getting 70-80 Mbps when connected directly. On Ethernet, it delivers 50-60 Mbps, which is closer to the 100 Mbps you expect. Upgrading your internet plan might not fix the router's limitations, but replacing the device could improve speeds and reliability.

Upgrade suggestions should boost performance. For assistance choosing a replacement, share your location and budget, and a few users will likely share links to products they’d consider.

Sure, it seems like you're looking for an option around that price range.

Thanks for the question. It's interesting they advertise 300/300 Mbps. Would you like my opinion? Real-world gigabit routers typically deliver speeds closer to 100-150 Mbps under normal conditions.

I'm located in the United States, likely spending around $50 to $150 per month. I believe the 300/300 Mbps connection is suitable for LAN speeds, allowing them to operate without restrictions.
