Consider upgrading your i9-9900k Z390 3080Ti for a budget-friendly option this Black Friday. While advice videos can help, the variety of setups makes it tricky for a beginner. You're playing AC Valhalla, so balancing performance and cost is key.

There aren't many solid offers for CPU+Mobo+Ram combinations that are worth the investment right now. The clear upgrade would be moving to a 13700k or 13900k, though those just launched about six weeks ago so I don’t think prices will fall much soon. I’ll hold off until your setup remains functional.

I’d choose whatever’s available over my 9900k. 12th or 13th generation would be ideal, but isn’t this a decent offer for the type of board I’m after?

I believe your CPU is limiting your GPU performance. You have two practical choices:
- Option 1: A 13600k with a Z690 chipset. It’s affordable and won’t hinder future upgrades much.
- Option 2: A 7600x paired with a B650 board and DDR5 RAM. More costly, but the AM5 platform supports upgrades through 2025, keeping your CPU costs manageable.

Are you near a microcenter? Otherwise, these suggestions cover the basics. There are some good offers to check out. Since you own a 3080ti, staying within your budget matters. What is your spending range?

These games perform poorly on high-end Nvidia graphics cards.

No one nearby. Yeah, I spent a lot on the GPU. I might redo that decision since I usually don’t splurge on high-end gear. I haven’t considered staying within budget. I’m someone who might keep my current model but upgrade the CPU for a bit more performance if it helps.
