Hello, I see you're facing some performance issues. You mentioned your setup includes a GPU from Inno3D Rtx 3070 Ti, an OC CPU, a gaming motherboard, ample RAM, a high-end PSU, and an SSD. You noted inconsistent frame rates across games like COD, Warzone, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Cyberpunk 2077, and even with RTX off you still struggled with low FPS. Your 3Dmark test results show the RTX 3070 Ti benchmarked at Intel i7-8700K, which is a strong setup. Consider checking for driver updates, background processes, or GPU overclocking settings that might be affecting performance.
You're referring to the performance numbers from your GPU and memory setup. The phrase "cpu times 6 GPU times 4" likely relates to how these components interact under load, possibly indicating a benchmark or usage pattern. The screenshots probably show temperature readings for your GPU, which are generally fine but a bit high. Your memory configuration includes two 4GB modules and one 8GB module, all at the same speed. You mentioned considering upgrading with additional RAM sticks and running Afterburner and RTSS to monitor performance. Please share those if you'd like further advice.
Sorry about the images. They link to several specs and a forum post. I'm checking your setup: 2x4 and 1x8 DDR4 Corsair, running on an Aerocool P7-C1BG ATX case. You mentioned it's late and asked if the bottleneck is between CPU and GPU.
It appears to be just a menu interface. When checking the performance overlay, it doesn’t look like thermal issues or CPU bottlenecks are present. Your GPU might not be the limiting factor. For optimal performance, use an even number of sticks with consistent settings—same batch, size, frequency, and latency. I’m not familiar with your board, but running three sticks at a time can sometimes disable dual-channel support for the remaining two. Before making changes, try using the same 8GB RAM stick you already have. Remove the four 4GB sticks and run just the two 8GB sticks to see if performance improves.
Nothing wrong with your setup, it's just the game being broken over and over again. It's a know "feature". So relax and enjoy the last remaining month this title has on this earth before it's replaced by the next cash-grab simulator.
