Building day is approaching, Ram will be here tomorrow. I’m using a Gigabyte Aorus Master/Ryzen 7 3700x. The plan is to update the BIOS first, then install W10Pro. After checking driver updates, I’ll need to decide whether to install the OS and drivers in order.

Alternative approach: chipset, gpu drivers, LAN, Bluetooth, wireless, audio, etc., are technology chips and then the BIOS.

Connect via USB to boot from the UEFI/BIOS. After setup, download the latest OS from the manufacturer site and install it. Then fetch the most recent drivers directly from their website.

Wait, Velcade said Bios first. That is my original plan. 1. boot to Bios and make sure it sees everything CPU,GPU,Ram, 2 Nvme drives, fans 2. update Bios from UEFI 3. repeat step 1 4. install OS 5. verify what the OS sees 6. update drivers 7. Check all devices are operational 8. back to Bios to start tweaking I had second thoughts when i was wondering if there might be issues between new Bios and old chipset drivers. Am i overthinking?
