Check your BIOS for Ryzen 7 3800X or upgrade to Ryzen 7 5800X
Consider your current CPU needs versus your system's requirements. Since your motherboard uses an older BIOS and the latest BIOS is in beta, it’s wise to check compatibility first. Updating to the latest version (April or March) may offer better performance, but ensure it supports your Ryzen 7 5800X and MOBO setup.
You may need to modify the BIOS to enable support for the 5800X. If your motherboard allows, you can either stick with the current CPU or use a BIOS flashback (no CPU required if supported). I’m not sure what MOBO model you have, but you don’t have to rely on the newest beta—most updates include Reziseable Bar support, which could be helpful.
The BIOS version 2607 appears to enhance rather than remove features; if uncertain, back up your existing BIOS or obtain a fresh Zen 2 BIOS file and transfer it via USB.
