Hi, your i7 3970x is performing well with minimal CPU usage. I’m not expecting performance issues unless you upgrade. I’m thinking about getting an RTX 2070 Super, though. The 3970x only uses PCIe 2.0 and has 40 lanes, which should handle most tasks smoothly. I’m not sure if a bottleneck will arise, but I’d like some advice before spending money. Cheers.
It appears there are no issues. Performance should function well in lower lanes, even those that remain under heavy use today.
