Are you purchasing a second-hand board? If it’s a single piece with minor warping, attempt to gently reshape it, but if it was recently acquired or purchased online, it’s best to send it back rather than risk further damage.
It looked brand new on Amazon, but it still had all the plastic. I think returning it makes sense—there’s no use in wasting it. I’m not sure I should risk it anyway.
I personally wouldn’t purchase a used LGA board, though that’s just my opinion. I can’t make sense of it and those pins look really small. I’d definitely struggle to identify them.

Amazon Warehouse doesn’t thoroughly inspect returned parts; they rely on customers explaining issues or simply sending items in whatever condition they think is acceptable. I doubt any part was ever properly tested or the socket checked.
These Z390 Aorus boards are a solid choice. The Pro model is available for about $189, while the Elite version costs around $172. You might also find different prices on other websites.
