Hello,
my girlfriend has a Toshiba Satellite C850-1g3 with these specifications:
Intel Celeron 1000M 1.8GHz Socket 988b rPGA
Intel PLCSF8 PCI-Express 2.0
4GB DDR3
Intel HD Graphics
I want to upgrade the memory to 8GB and the CPU.
Do you know any stores that sell compatible parts?
Best Regards

Hi there! If you're unfamiliar with the places I mentioned, my suggestions would be for online marketplaces or stores like eBay, Amazon, or AliExpress. Generally, when upgrading laptops, the best choice is to purchase a used CPU that has been removed or disassembled from another laptop with the same socket. This is important because you won’t be able to buy CPUs from official vendors—they don’t sell them. I also don’t know if your CPU is soldered, so it might be worth checking that first. I can give you some advice on compatible CPUs for your system, such as i3 2310M or i3 2330M. If you're feeling adventurous, you could even upgrade to an i7 3610QM. As for RAM, any brand is acceptable as long as it’s DDR3 SODIMM. Hope this helps! Cheers!
