I can likely play beyond the 10-hour mark if I buy the game now, especially with EA Access or similar on PC. The $4.99 pass gives early access to BF1 and the game runs smoothly. While the official listing says it’s “finished,” the early access version is available for purchase and allows continued play. Game messages suggest progress will carry over if you buy it, so I should be able to keep going without hitting a time limit. It’s just a few days until release, so I can enjoy the game as long as I want.

The system allows playing for up to 10 hours during early access. As your time nears completion, a timer will appear. When it reaches zero, you must exit the game, and it will remain locked until the official release date. Your progress will be restored on the release day. The version you receive before launch is likely the "trial version." I recall trying EA's early access with NFS 2015, where a trial version existed as well, and its file size was noticeably smaller than the full release.

I think the answer is no, since a longer playtime wouldn’t justify a big bold text next to a purchase button. EA would likely highlight such benefits to boost pre-orders. It seems a 10-hour session equates to 10 hours per person, which supports this reasoning.

You're limited to a maximum of 10 hours, and you can use up to that amount before the game becomes available.

Thanks for letting me know. The timer still isn’t turning off after you bought the game.
