I’m searching for a racing title to enjoy alongside Overwatch. The crew experience didn’t meet my expectations, but Forza Horizon 3 appears to be an improved take on it. Early reviews are promising for Xbox One, though I’m aiming for PC. My concerns include not supporting the Microsoft Store and finding the $69.99 price point a bit high. I’d prefer a lower price, maybe around $50 or $60, similar to what others pay. I’m also wary of pre-orders and would rather wait until PC reviews are out. With a few weeks until college starts, I’ll need to decide carefully. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Sure, I understand. I’m ready to share my thoughts on this instead of interrupting. I’m open to the discussion and can connect with others who share similar views.

You're likely seeing the Ultimate Edition for $99, which gives you access to play a bit sooner—probably Friday—and also includes car packs. The standard version costs $59 and becomes available on Tuesday next week.

The prices are clear: standard at 69€, deluxe 89€, and the super rip-off edition at 99€. Everything matches.

For 59€ I wouldn’t waste much time and would wait for official reviews from trusted sources before purchasing, even though the Windows Store isn’t that price. But since it’s not at 59€...

The game is definitely on the higher side in price, but I decided to purchase the Ultimate Edition. Buying the base version isn't a problem. Most of my friends will likely follow suit since they don’t think $99 is worth it. Regarding top open-world racing titles, I believe Forza Horizon 3 stands out as the best choice right now. You won’t be making a mistake by grabbing it. Make sure your PC can support it. If you want to wait before buying, pre-ordering is fine too—there’s no harm in checking it out first. A demo should release after launch, giving you a chance to test it yourself instead of relying solely on reviews.

I was seriously considering buying an Xbox One JUST for Forza. So $99 is a bargain for me and I couldn't be happier. Forza is BY FAR the best racing game I've ever played, and I have a gaming PC with a racing wheel and seat setup and I've played tons of legit simulators from rFactor to Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally. Forza is the only game that has incredible graphics, incredible sound (very important with cars), incredible career mode, incredible online features, incredible car selection, incredible upgrades and tuning system, the best weather system by far, and very very good physics all in one package (including dirt+tarmac, deep puddles, and great oversteer/drift physics). Sure if you want better physics you can play iRacing or AC but then the graphics and sound will suffer, along with ease of use, and the car selection, and the upgrade system etc etc etc... Forza is really just an incredible game that's so heavily loaded with polish and features that 70€ is honestly a steal.
