I could probably stop by Gamestop and spend $5 on a pre-order if I learn whether I’ll receive a PC Beta code. I’d rather buy the complete game for $60, but I’m not sure my computer will handle it and I rarely come home to play on my desktop. Anyone have any idea? I’ve called Gamestop twice already, but they just hang up and put the phone back. They seem to be chatting about random stuff on the line—probably not worth it. Edit: I’m already on the waitlist for a code, but they said no codes will be sent today. This is my only free day off work and I don’t have any other responsibilities.
G2A could be more affordable. You might also find success with Reddit contests. Ubisoft seems likely to release several betas, similar to Rainbow Six's approach. If you miss this now, you'll probably get another opportunity later.
