I want to relive the GTA 4 story again. I remember R* released a recent update not long ago. I have a physical copy of the game, which I launch every time using Securom BS. This is my old-school method and I enjoy it. The game is installed in a separate exclusive folder on the C: drive. I tried installing it before, but the update files ended up in a different location than where the game was originally found. During extraction, I got an error saying "Social Club is missing from my PC even fking tho it's right there." Just for info, I can launch and play the game now, confirming the Social Club POS is working properly. So how should I do this correctly? I've heard some people say this update completely breaks their game and causes total issues.

You may require Windows Live games, but they don't function properly on Windows 8 or 10.

It didn't request directions during installation, and I'm able to play the game as it is—so I have GFWL installed. It's running on Windows 7, by the way.
