Considering the Z690 UD for mining and gaming is a good idea. You might want to be aware of some concerns about Gigabyte BIOS, but pairing it with an i5 12600K should work well. Check the product page for more details: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z69...-rev-10#kf

After reviewing many Z690 benchmarks, I’d choose Tomahawk if forced. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MAG-Z690...-WIFI-DDR4 Costs might be higher, but its VRM performance and overall setup are likely superior to the Gigabyte model.

You're unsure about this specific model, but the UD series are budget options, which doesn't really fit a high-end Z690 setup with an i7 or i9 processor.

They're budget-friendly but the Z boards still offer enough voltage regulation. The main reason to choose a higher-end board is the extra features, such as more input/output ports, which makes overclocking possible for most CPUs. A 12600k could help a bit, though not much. Voltage regulation isn't a big deal since most Z690 chipsets handle it well even for lower models like the Focus model. Prioritize a board with more capabilities than just basic specs.
