Just installed my motherboard for the first time with an 11th gen I5 and a 4080 upgraded to a Gigabyte Z690 GAMING X DDR4 ATX board. The monitor is an MSI Optix G271 Esports Gaming IPS Monitor, 27-inch, 16:9 Full HD (1920 x 1080), IPS, 144Hz. After booting everything works fine, but a flickering bar appears on the screen. I tried reseating the GPU, but nothing changed—possibly multiple attempts without success. Two monitors are connected; the other one is unaffected, showing no issues. I suspect it’s not a GPU problem, but I’m not an expert and don’t want this to happen. I’m leaning toward replacing the monitor since it’s behaving strangely and inconsistent, especially after changing the motherboard. I’ve attached a video showing the flickering during app switching and the screen becoming unresponsive, along with the Opera GX full screen.

Check if the problem persists after swapping monitors and setting the second one as the main display. It might be a faulty cable. Also, try using different GPU ports.

I've tested various ports without any difference (my 4080 has one HDMI and three DP ports). I just got a new DP cable from the store, and the problem started right away—switching from 60Hz to 144Hz worked at 60Hz but not at 144Hz.

It seems the issue isn't apparent at 60Hz, so it might be related to the monitor.

Capture the image and verify it on another monitor if available. If it doesn<|pad|>, likely the cable or display is the issue. Since you've changed the port, consider testing HDMI as an alternative.
